The news was received with shock by the players, who took to Twitter to express their disappointment, with Dener "KHTEX" Barchfield lamenting that "a document has the power to kill off a person's dreams". Wild had qualified for the event after winning ESEA Open Brazil, last week, over Chilean side Rejected. The team, led by former Luminosity player Vinicios "PKL" Coelho, had been looking forward to the challenge to get some experience under their belt before StarSeries i-League Season 7, for which they qualified after winning GAMECON Brasília.  PKL & co ruled out of the ESEA Global Challenge Replacing Wild at the event will be Vireo.pro, who finished in fourth place in ESEA MDL. The decision has been met with widespread criticism from the Brazilian community, but ESEA explains that "time constraints" and the fact Rejected would also not be able to attend the event forced them to pick a North American replacement.
